im just a nobody.
PengSiong blogged Speech Day Parade, Friday, August 8
Well.. its all over.. no more Saturday Trainings, no more going up BE office to submit letter applying for leaves... it has all come to an end ... let's recap right from the start of the planning stage till the big day...

Well was in our CI monthly meeting when we discussed about Speech Day. Senior was the parade IC. and basket he appointed me as the Parade Commander. Well can say that im both thrilled and nervous. would say i'm jack of all trades but master of none. So i've got to buck up with drills.

Well for the trainings, trained the GOH.. got the amount of number we've needed. but then as saturdays and training goes by... the number gets lesser and leser.. yeaps of course we got worried. we need to retrain reteach and stuffs... and somehow was pissed off. Chance/ Opportunities was given yet they treasure it like this ...
GOH or Guard Of Honour or Kawalan Ker Hormatan. its the most prestigious squad inside the parade. its the ONLY squad that is inspected by the Guest of Honor it meant alot of me. because in my Cadet Life, i never once got into a Guard of Honour due to i got injured. and trust me. i was much much disappointed and saddened by this ...
comparing last time and now.. it was so much of difference of the meaning ... well time changes...

Rehearsals. trust me Practice makes perfect .. first few times when i was there i got super kanchiong and sometimes forget abit here and there... was nervous. because all eyes was on me... till the last few rehearsals. i managed to get used to it.. and yeps! i've got everything right!! though there were not much rehearsals.
maybe im not confident enough, after each round, would ask my friends for mistakes for improvements. and try to improve myself after every rounds...
Last rehearsal, raining non stop. we trained for our Wet Weather. Trust me i DON LIKE IT. i don't want wad my ppl have practiced so much put in so much hardwork for the past 2 months to go down into the drain. the feeling wasn't good.
the person up there always like to test on us.. and yes! we've passed the test once again! though it rained non stop yesterday night. today morning. the weather was simply GREAT!

BIG DAY! was super kanchiong in the morning and i can't wait everything to be start. because there;s some talk for the students.. Many ppl came to support me and gave me words of encouragements ...

and BAM ! the parade started... when i marched in, realised more eyes are on me compared to rehearsals. ppl cheered ! the feeling. wow! like wad senior told me.. the first few commands sure kanchiong like wad one. until we wait for the guest of honor to arrive... my first few commands. i was shivering. and trust me IM SHIVERING ! but when band played their music .. though i heard it alot of times during rehearsal. i had goosebumps this time round.

till the Guest of Honor came. and when he was inspecting the GOH, he talked to me. well somehow it calmed me down more. =] and National Anthem/ Pledge taking was next .. dunno why this time round when i sing National Anthem and recite the pledge i felt more Patriotic ? hahahahs ! the feeling was TOTALLY DIFFERENT ! had goosebumps again...
after that was March Past. asked for permission and get the parade into ready position... and in my heart. all our hard work .. its going to an end ... so when i was marching. i heard the phrase that i liked most. "The Parade is led by Cadet Inspector, Teoh Peng Siong" trust me. i felt proud at the moment. =]

I dunno why. when i reached into the holding area. i almost burst into tears. no joke. i dunno why also.had this mixed emotion.. and YES! the parade was a HUGE SUCCESS ! aahahahahahaha! thanked the everyone in the GOH, shook their hands and shouted GOOD JOB ! the feeling was great. thanked everyone again for their support..

and once again PUNGGOL NPCC UNIT HAS CREATED ANOTHER SUCCESS!

thanks to everyone is the GOH whom made it in all the trainings and never gave up!
thanks to those who came and supported me, gave me words of encouragements.
many thanks to those who wished the parade was smooth and successful!

ppl may think, why must we train like dunno wad JUST for 15 minutes? maybe its the same as a chinese idiom you practice years for just 10 minutes performance.

went up for my Friends of Punggol Award with senior. will blog later. im going to blog alot of post ! and pictures will be up once i get all the photos =]
